    Ok, well lately my friends have been getting me into all these cool books!
    First of all, ~DoctorBollocks got me into Terry Pratchett, I bought the Hogfather and I'm really enjoying it so I will definately be getting more of his books.
    Then =DNK-Anais, a fellow Shaun of the Dead fan got this cool book called The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead and since I've been curious about what to do in the event of a zombie outbreak, I decided to have a read. I'm still waiting for it to arrive, I hoped it would arrive tomorrow so I could read it over the weekend but sadly I got an email saying it would be monday or tuesday.
    And finally, ~Zenomezz spoke about this cool manga called Undertown so I looked it up on the net and found the first chapter to read. I love the art and the story looks pretty good too so I ordered that off Amazon Marketplace too. Now all I gotta do is wait for it to arrive.

    I love fantasy, funny, sci fi, comic, manga, horror, adventure and reference books about my favorite subjects. If you read, what kinds of books do you guys like? I've often asked my friends about their fave movies and TV shows but not really books.
    My favorite of my own books is Aquila, which was autographed to me by its author, Andrew Norriss recently! I also enjoy the Harry Potter books and novels by Stephen King (especially Pet Semetary) and some novelisations of movies although I've found too many of those that don't stay close to the film, because they are of course written before the film's release meaning they could be based on a non-finalised version of the script (such as my X Men 2 book where Jean doesn't die but in fact is rendered blind instead).

    Anywho, yeah, what books do you guys like?

    You're so lucky having a signed Aquila book. One of my favourite books too =D

    I also like the Lionboy trilogy and Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH (which my personal fave) but nowadays I often read fanfiction (only the good ones) because there is no shops in town selling new books =(

    But I have been enjoying myself by writing a DW fanfiction =D

    I haven't heard of Lionboy but I've seen the movie and series of the Rats of NIMH and enjoyed them. I should read the books sometime too.
    I love reading fanfics. Sadly I've read all the Zorak ones Fanfiction.net has to offer and written a fair few of my own too. Its fun writing them though, then you can make the characters go on adventures of your choosing.

    Me too. I started a really good Invader Zim fanfiction which will never get finished since I'm writing a novel I want to get published now. I hope to get it published this year or at least send it for publishing.

    I heard the Tripod series is really great (also known as White Mountains) I haven't read it yet but it seems my whole family raves over the book so it must be good. Some of the best books I've read are stuff like Wild At Heart, Waking The Dead, and Starship Troopers. I haven't read that many books though so I'm sure there's a whole lot more out there; in the mean time there's your list of books I recommend. :) Wild At Heart is probably my all time favorite. It's mostly a book for guys but it can definitely help women to understand men a lot better. (Judging from what my mom told me from reading it)
