Well, as you may have seen from my last deviation I'm working to vastly improve my colouring skills. I see so many artists on here who do awesome shading and colouring jobs and I feel I rush mine too much so expect a higher quality of colour work from me from now on. There's nothing wrong with my old colouring, it looks neat and works but I really want to get my traditional art looking smooth and professional, making it something I'm even more proud of.
I love every picture I upload here or I wouldn't put them up...and I don't post up all the work I do, but most of it, since I went through a "Level up" artwise at the beginning of last year when I started bordering my work and making the effort to do backgrounds.

I need to work on highlights, since all I mostly do is shade. Pictures should have a three dimensional look, thats what makes them look better, depending on the style of course. The picture I'm working on now, "Meck" is looking great so far but I'm using 5 different pencils in purple hues and a dark navy blue to shade him with. I found the more shades and variations of pencils I use, the better it looks. I've only got his head and front legs done so far but it looks great.
Pictures take a lot longer like my AvistA and Otis "Plane Flight to Paradise" picture took several days since I usually work on pictures for a couple of hours at a time usually after dinner in the evenings and before I come on the net. But it was totally worth it. With the extra shades, the colours blend better and the characters and background look really good.

So yeah, thats what I'm doing, working to improve! All artists strive to do their best with art and thats what I'm doing now!
